Matthew Bailey is the Executive General Manager for Green by Nature New Zealand, bringing a wealth of leadership experience and a deep passion for sustainable growth and operational excellence. With a proven track record in the horticulture and retail sectors, Matthew is committed to driving innovation, enhancing service delivery, and fostering a strong people-centric culture. His leadership approach is rooted in collaboration, capability development, and a keen focus on aligning business operations with customer needs and environmental stewardship.

Prior to joining Green by Nature, Matthew served as CEO of Kings Plant Barn, while also serving on the board of not-for-profit Drive Electric, mainstreaming e-mobility for New Zealand. Matthew holds an LLB from Kyoto University. He is a CFA Charterholder and is also a Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.

His ability to navigate complex challenges and drive business evolution has made him a trusted leader. Matthew’s focus at Green by Nature will be on strengthening relationships, optimizing performance, and ensuring the company continues to deliver outstanding green space solutions across New Zealand. 

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, exploring New Zealand’s great outdoors, and pursuing his interest in sustainable living.
