Creating a New Partnership with Nelson City Council

We are excited to announce that Green by Nature has been awarded the contract to maintain Nelson City Council’s parks, reserves, and open spaces starting 1 July 2025!

This eight-year partnership (with an optional two-year extension) will see our team care for a wide range of spaces, including Saxton Field, playgrounds, public gardens, neighbourhood parks, and more. We’re proud to bring our innovative approach to green space management to Nelson, from smart irrigation systems and drone technology to expert horticultural, turf, and arboriculture services.

We’re also committed to supporting the local community, engaging with affected staff during the handover process, and prioritising environmental sustainability.

We’re thrilled to work alongside Nelson City Council to maintain these cherished spaces that play a vital role in the city’s identity and community well-being.
