With both the Men’s and Women’s A-League seasons now wrapped up, the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) player votes are in—ranking the best stadiums and pitches from the 2024–2025 season. We’re thrilled to share that two venues we proudly maintain have received top honours in both competitions.
In the Women’s League, Ironbark Fields – home to Western United – was officially named Stadium of the Season by the PFA. This recognition is a testament to the consistent quality, playability, and presentation of the pitch throughout the season. Ironbark Fields also earned Runner-Up for Best Atmosphere, highlighting not just the surface underfoot but the complete match-day experience for players and fans alike. Our very own Justin Lang received some well deserved accolades from Western United’s General Manager, Mal Impiombato, which stated “Justin has been an integral part of our team since moving out to Ironbark Fields and we are indebted to his passion, meticulous work and expertise. Not only does this create the best conditions for our players to perform, it also helps to create a fantastic spectacle for our game and for our fans to enjoy. We hope to continue raising the standard in pitch quality across Australian football.”
On the Men’s side, HBF Park in Perth took out the top spot, earning the title of Best Stadium of the Season. HBF Park continues to set the benchmark for stadium excellence in the league as mentioned by VenuesWest CEO, David Etherton “We have long been very proud of the turf, which we diligently curate and maintain in collaboration with our turf managers, Green by Nature. The ability to host multi-sport events at the venue while maintaining the integrity of the surface for the players remains a priority. Accolades such as this one are not received lightly.”

And once again, Ironbark Fields featured prominently, finishing as Runner-Up in the Men’s Stadium of the Season category—an incredible achievement that reinforces its versatility and elite standard across both competitions.
These accolades are a direct reflection of the tireless work our grounds teams put in year-round. From meticulous pitch preparation and ongoing maintenance to match-day support, our crews work behind the scenes to deliver surfaces that meet the highest professional standards.
We’re incredibly proud to play a part in creating the environments where Australia’s top football talent can shine.
