Green by Nature is proud to be partnering with La Trobe University and the Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary to deliver the Go Green Schools program – an initiative designed to help schools within the Darebin and Banyule councils of Victoria connect with nature, support biodiversity, and create vibrant outdoor learning spaces.

Through this program, we’re providing schools with:

  • Two boxes of plants (108 seedlings) from a themed indigenous plant pack of their choice
  • One nest box to support local wildlife such as birds, microbats or insects
  • A garden sign and factsheet with care tips
  • Optional planting assistance from our Green by Nature team

The program is designed to not only beautify school grounds, but also to:

  • Enhance habitat connectivity across the community
  • Attract pollinators, small birds, frogs, and other native wildlife
  • Provide hands-on learning opportunities for students

Schools can choose from five themed plant packs, tailored to different ecosystems and wildlife – from a Pollinator Pack bursting with native daisies and bluebells, to a Frog Bog Pack that supports wetland species, to a Parrot Pack featuring larger trees and shrubs. Each pack also comes with a wildlife-friendly nest box to bring the garden to life.
